Chaweng
The island's busiest stretch of coast.
Chaweng is Samui's longest, most developed beach — the most exposed to open Gulf of Thailand swell, and the commercial and social centre of the island. Chaweng Noi, its southern extension, keeps the same coastline at a quieter register: fewer bars, a more residential pace.
It suits buyers who want density and amenity close by, and it's where much of the island's rental-yield activity concentrates.
